Job summary

Hiverecruiter is seeking a Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure, spanning cloud, network, and on-premise systems. You will lead upgrades, migrations, and major projects while enhancing security through audits and training.

You’ll collaborate with IT leadership on planning and budgeting, mentor colleagues, and apply expertise in Windows, VMware, and cloud platforms to ensure resilience and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a computing field.
• 5+ years hands-on systems administration experience preferred.
• Strong experience with Windows, Office 365, VMware, identity management, Cisco networking, VPN, MFA, endpoint protection, and cloud infra.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP and virtualization platforms is required.
• Cybersecurity knowledge including VLANs, routing, firewalls, and IDS.
• Scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Certifications like MCSE, Server+, CCNP, or CISA are a plus.

What You'll Do:

Design, implement, and maintain reliable, secure IT infrastructure, including cloud, network, and system solutions.

Lead system upgrades, migrations, technology implementations, and major IT projects.

Strengthen security through audits, protocols, vulnerability remediation, and employee training.

Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.

Partner with IT leadership on technology planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.

Mentor IT team members and provide technical guidance on systems, security, and emerging technologies.

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Administration, or a related field.

5+ years of hands-on systems administration experience preferred.

Strong experience with Windows, Office 365, VMware, identity management, Cisco networking, VPN, MFA, endpoint protection, and cloud infrastructure.

Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP and virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.

Strong networking and cybersecurity knowledge, including VLANs, routing, firewalls, and intrusion detection.

Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

Excellent project management, communication, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.

Relevant certifications such as MCSE, Server+, CCNP, or CISA are a plus.
