Job summary

RenXTech is seeking a highly skilled engineer to support hybrid-cloud infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments. You will perform Tier 2–4 engineering and provide in-depth problem resolution for complex technology products and applications.

Responsibilities include leading VMware vCenter/NSX-T operations, configuring AD, DNS, DFS, DHCP, and maintaining DISA STIGs, security and documentation for accreditation processes.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Experience with VMware vCenter and NSX-T.
• Proficiency in AD, DNS, DFS, and DHCP.
• Experience maintaining DISA STIGs.
• Hands-on with Splunk, Check_MK, McAfee ePO, BitLocker.
• Experience with Windows and Linux servers, VMware Horizon.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2–4 engineering support and incident resolution.
• Lead configuration, deployment and maintenance of VMware environments.
• Coordinate risk assessments and project de-confliction.
• Maintain inventory and documentation for security posture.

The system has on-premises components deployed at multiple data centers, as well as use of commercial cloud resources. The Sponsor requires a team with a diverse background and strong organizational skills to facilitate the accreditation and document systems deployments across the environment. The team will work in a 24 hour, 7 day a week environment and provide in-depth Tier 2 through Tier 4 level support and problem resolution for technology products and applications. They will lead and perform engineering efforts in the areas of Windows and Linux servers, workstations, storage, and virtualization; perform data center management tasks such as physical capacity management, hardware installation and commissioning, inventory, decommissioning and removal, and destruction; and coordinate engineering projects including performing technical risk assessment, de-conflict implementations, and resolve technical questions or conflicts. The team will gather performance and utilization metrics from infrastructure components and proactively inform the Sponsor when thresholds are me and maintain an accurate inventory for the Sponsor to include, but not limited to, accountable property and electronic network encryption devices. They will also manage and deploy infrastructure components such as installing cables and circuits and labeling cables, build and maintain desktop workstations and provide troubleshooting assistance and patching as needed, and perform Tier-3 engineering and support for virtualization infrastructure, consisting of virtual servers, virtual desktops, and automation solutions.
