Job summary

Amazon Leo in Bellevue, WA, seeks a Systems Development Engineer to own and operate infrastructure for Siemens engineering tools and cloud services. The role emphasizes autonomous work, strong communication, and a track record of delivering large-scale engineering projects.

You will design and maintain infrastructure as code, monitor performance, and support AWS and on-premise deployments within a fast-paced Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience programming with languages such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust.
• Experience with Linux/Unix.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain infrastructure as code for our hybrid-cloud Siemens engineering applications.
• Monitor performance, ensuring uptime, scalability, and reliability of applications and Infrastructure.
• Analyze current infrastructure capacity and forecast future needs to support organizational growth.
• Day to day support of existing Siemens applications on AWS and on-premise.
• Automate Siemens deployment and administration of Siemens engineering tools.
• Drive an environment of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Anticipate bottlenecks, make trade-offs, and encourage risk-taking to maximize business benefit.
• Actively participate in Agile/Scrum development processes, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
