Job summary

Sound Transit seeks a Systems Construction Manager within the Center of Excellence in the Capital Delivery Department. Under the Director of Construction Services, you will supervise the Systems Construction Manager team and oversee procurement, design, manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning for capital and state of good repair projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Planning, or related field.
• Six years in program management in planning, engineering, or construction with leadership and budget experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews the work of assigned staff; coaches, trains, and motivates staff; manages workflow and performance.
• Leads resource planning, hiring, onboarding, and procurement for staff and consultants; helps develop budgets and forecast funding.
• Develops and implements program goals, KPIs, and performance monitoring; ensures compliance with laws, policies, and procedures.
• Reviews contract documents and manages construction contracts; coordinates with consultants, vendors, and external agencies.
