Job summary

The Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA) is seeking a Systems and Cloud Engineer to join the IT department in Sacramento, CA. The role focuses on providing robust LAN/WAN and cloud infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable systems for the agency serving affordable housing needs.

Ideal candidates will have at least 7 years of IT experience, a preferred bachelor’s degree in a related field, and deep knowledge of Microsoft servers, Azure, AWS, and office productivity tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years IT work experience designing, installing, and maintaining complex IT systems.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university; major in a relevant field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Azure AD, DNS, Windows Servers, Firewalls, Switching, VPN.
• Experience with cloud services including Office365, Azure, AWS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to work independently and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve system hardware, software, and network issues.
• Design and implement on-premises, hosted, and cloud solutions.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of network, cloud, and server systems.
• Manage data center security, virtualization, and storage platforms; maintain backups.
• Lead and measure the success of IT projects; coordinate tasks and resources.
• Coordinate with other departments and vendors; ensure interoperability of IT solutions.
