Job summary

Raleigh Housing Authority is seeking a System Administrator to manage and modernize the agency's IT infrastructure. You will administer Windows servers, Active Directory, and cloud services, while leading projects and ensuring security and reliability for critical systems.

Qualifications

• Administer and maintain Windows servers, storage, backups, and core infrastructure systems.
• Design, implement, and support infrastructure improvements and modernization projects.
• Monitor infrastructure alerts and system health; develop system standards and lifecycle planning.
• Perform routine and advanced troubleshooting, patching, and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide escalation support for complex IT issues.
• Mentor junior IT staff and lead technical projects.
• Document procedures and maintain IT asset and configuration records.
• Support technology deployments and upgrades.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.

Education

Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, combined with 5+ years of Network or Systems administration experience

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, combined with 3+ years of IT Network or Systems administration experience

Equivalent combination of education and experience
