Job summary

Ford Model e U.S. is seeking a leadership-level engineer to guide Systems Engineering Team Leaders using Systems Design methods. You will identify cost and weight efficiencies, reduce part counts, improve quality, save labor, and boost service efficiency.

The role requires a strong background in Systems Engineering, Design Thinking, and user experience, plus experience with CAD/CAE tools and early-stage theme development. Global travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
• 5+ years experience in Functional Engineering or Vehicle Engineering.
• Experience with CAD and CAE tools, ability to interface and manage virtual design data.
• Experience in Systems Engineering, Design Thinking and user experience.
• Experience with Studio process for early theme development and feasibility assessment.
• Demonstrated leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Strong cross-functional relationship skills across Program, Studio, Purchasing, Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing and Suppliers.
• Ability to manage multiple issues and prioritize workload.

Responsibilities
