Job summary

Optimal is seeking a lead architect to shape foundational electrical architectures for our future global platforms in automotive. You will tackle first-of-their-kind challenges, bridging hardware design and high-level systems logic, defining architectures for vehicles in the 2030s and beyond.

You will translate trends into scalable architecture strategies, own the requirement cascade from vehicle level to power subsystems, and drive rigorous SE processes to ensure safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/Computer/Systems Engineering, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or related field.
• 2+ years of design, modeling, or architecture of complex electrical systems.
• Expert-level knowledge of Systems Engineering: requirements decomposition, V-model, interface management, FMA, verification.
• Ability to use AI tools for architectural optimization or system analysis.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve next-generation electrical architecture concepts from advanced driver-assistance systems to fully electrified platforms.
• Own the requirement cascade from the vehicle level down to individual power supply components and subsystems.
• Drive a rigorous systems engineering methodology to translate vehicle goals into hardware architecture requirements.
• Translate emerging technology trends and customer needs into scalable architecture strategies.
