Job summary

Ford Motor Company in the United States is seeking a leadership engineer at Level 6 to drive cross-functional vehicle architecture decisions in a hybrid work setup.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Design, and Manufacturing teams to develop innovative solutions for integrated vehicle systems, improve cost, mass, efficiency, and user experience, and guide trades across interiors, chassis, and powertrain. The salary ranges from $150,200 to $283,500.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years experience in automotive or related field, EV preferred.
• Strong engineering fundamentals across vehicle systems and manufacturing processes.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• CAD proficiency in assembly and part design; Catia and 3D Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Engineering, Design, and Manufacturing to develop integrated vehicle system solutions.
• Develop and prototype concepts to improve product cost, mass, efficiency, manufacturability, serviceability, and user experience.
• Drive cross-functional architecture trades to determine product direction.
• Identify and resolve geometrical incompatibilities between systems through first principles and concept 3D.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, technicians, and suppliers to procure and build physical properties.
