Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Systems and Operations Manager to lead the Infrastructure, Middleware and DevOps functions within the Systems Administration team. You will oversee operations, security and compliance across environments, partnering with Client Support, Product Development and shared services to deliver reliable global payment services.

• Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in related field is required
• Total of about 8+ years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in technology management

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule the team's workload to maintain stability and security.
• Act as the key planning and delivery contact for client requirements.
• Apply strong technical acumen to understand the full tech stack and support problem-solving.
• Serve as escalation point for technical incidents and act as incident commander when needed.
• Oversee timely production RCAs and close actions within responsibilities.
• Collaborate with Enterprise shared services to adopt best-practice service management.
• Interpret and adopt Technology and Security standards as published and evolved.
• Develop and execute remediation plans to reduce risk across environments and services.
• Introduce standards-based tooling, processes, and practices for infrastructure and deployment.
• Lead delivery of larger projects within the team's scope.
• Mentor and develop team members to foster a customer-service culture.
• Direct offshore and contract resources to priorities and execution.

Working closely with stakeholders fromClient Support,Product Development and shared serviceteams.

What you'll own:

• Plan and schedulethe team'sbusiness-as-usualworkloadto ensure high quality and efficient execution that maintains stability and security.
• Act as key point-of-contact for the planning and delivery of client requirements.
• Usestrong technical acumen to obtain asolidunderstanding of the full tech stack and apply thisas a key contributor toproblem-solving,troubleshootingand planning.
• Act asan escalationpointforTechnicalIncidents or Issues withthecapability tobetheIncident commanderinsituation where customer impact must be mitigated without delay.
• Oversee the Production oftimely,high-quality Technical Incident Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) ensuring the team deliver on resulting actions within the scope of theirresponsibilities.
• Work with Enterprise shared service teams to integrateto best practice Service Management capabilitiesall teamssupporting the businesscan leverage.
• Interpretand planadoption of Technologyand Securitystandards as those are published and evolved.
• Effectively manage risk to environmentsand servicesthrough the development and execution of thoughtful and permanent remediation plans.
• Introduce new standards-based tooling, process and practices for the delivery and management of Infrastructure and software deployment,participatingin broader Enterprise-wide initiatives asrequired.
• Lead delivery of larger projects that pertain to the environments and serviceswithin the scope of theteams'responsibilities.
• Mentor,coachand developowndirectteam memberstofoster a culture of customerservice, highperformanceand results.
• Direct the prioritiesforand oversee the execution ofactivitiesassigned tooffshore andcontract resources.

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor's Degree, Relevant Experience or Degree in: related field of study from an accredited university is required; however, relevant experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
• Typically a minimum of 8 years related professional experience including a minimum of 3 years experience in a technology management position.
