Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Systems Analyst - Team Lead for Epic Radiant to lead a high-impact radiology IT team in a large, complex healthcare environment. You will oversee integrations, upgrades, and optimization initiatives with hands-on involvement.

Mentor analysts, coordinate with radiologists, technologists and imaging leadership, and ensure delivery of reliable, secure clinical systems that support patient care.

Qualifications

  • Epic Radiant Certification is required or to be obtained within a defined timeframe.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end radiology workflows.
  • Experience partnering with radiologists, technologists, and imaging leadership.
  • Experience supporting Epic implementations / go-lives, upgrades, integrations, and testing.

UPMC is hiring a Systems Analyst- Team Lead (Epic Radiant)! This role offers the opportunity to lead a high-impact Epic Radiant team in a large, complex environment, with hands-on involvement in integrations, upgrades, and optimization efforts. It provides strong visibility, meaningful clinical impact.

Work Location:

Hybrid- 1 week a month on-site and as required at our Pittsburgh location!

Work Hours:

Standard daytime (8-4p.m.)

Purpose:

Under the general direction of the manager, the Systems Analyst - Team Lead supervises the day-to-day operations of a functional team of individual contributors within the Information Services Division. Provides mentor and guidance for development, installation, and delivery of technology products and services within specific departmental teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead Day-to-Day Execution of Radiant IT Workstreams
  • Serve as Primary Point of Contact for the Radiant Team
  • Completes performance evaluations and coaches/mentors Analysts
  • Manage Cross-Team and Vendor Coordination
  • Oversee Analyst Workload & Schedule
  • Facilitates successful completion of projects, tasks, and initiatives by embracing a team-first approach.
  • Works in collaboration with multiple teams and offers feedback, where appropriate, to complete individual and group efforts.
  • Work with ISD staff, operational clients and/or vendors to evaluate, develop, and implement solutions.
  • Create and apply process improvement to increase product and service quality to achieve business objectives.
  • Responds to unfamiliar, undefined, unexpected, or unstable situations with the professionally prescribed standard response.
  • Shows the ability to adjust and be flexible to change by adapting approach when necessary.
  • Design and document system level, IS operations level, and/or end user level procedures to support business applications.
  • Responsible for ensuring that service is provided to the ISD client community, patients, families and visitors, while protecting the integrity and confidentiality of all data and information through physical and electronic measures.
  • Proficiently applies IT methods, professional knowledge, and UPMC standards and practices.
  • Responsible for demonstrating appropriate, clear, concise, and effective written and oral communications in all interactions to build relationships and accomplish day to day work and projects.
  • Responsible for continuous self-study, trainings, partnering with management, and/or seeking out opportunities to broaden scope to stay up to date with industry and organizational trends.
  • Seeks feedback from management and team for development and effectively incorporates feedback into work and behaviors.
  • Interacts with others successfully completes projects, tasks, and initiatives by embracing a team-first approach.
  • Works in collaboration with team and offers feedback, where appropriate, to complete individual and group efforts.

  • Seven years of total related experience, including one year experience as a senior or lead, OR equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Professional knowledge of IT methods.
  • Proficient understanding of IT strategy and how it relates to business objectives.
  • Ability to successfully supervise projects to completion on time and within budget.
  • Ability to make decisions or recommendations based on various types and amounts of information.
  • Additionally, this position may be required to maintain a standby status as part of a rotation within the team. This requires 24 hours per day, 7 days per week availability during the standby period. The frequency varies based upon the number of colleagues in the rotation.
Must Haves:
  • Epic Radiant Certification (required or obtained within a defined timeframe).
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end radiology workflows.
  • Knowledge of radiology operations across inpatient, outpatient, and procedural areas.
  • Experience partnering with radiologists, technologists, and imaging leadership.
  • Experience supporting: Epic implementations / go-lives, Upgrades, Integrations, and testing.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional teams and healthcare IT initiatives.
