Job summary

The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Washington, DC area seeks a Systems Analyst II to support the MIS department across multiple locations. You will gather requirements, develop, test, and implement across diverse applications while coordinating with Infrastructure, PMO, and Data teams to align with enterprise architecture.

You will apply SDLC best practices, design data integration, document deliverables, and train staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in IT, data sciences, or related field.
• Three years of experience in developing .NET, C#, ASP.NET, and JavaScript (web services & web API applications).
• Three years of experience with SQL Server databases.
• Three years of experience developing and maintaining data pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and system design.
• Creative problem solver with the ability to self-teach.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self-starter, able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve applications with business units.
• Apply relational database best practices including keys, deletes, timestamps, changelogs, data normalization.
• Create and maintain documentation for QA, design, source code, and APIs.
• Build front-end interfaces based on user-centered design.
• Design data replication to a reporting/analysis database.
• Collaborate with external vendors on case management systems.
• Train staff and develop training materials.
• Provide maintenance and issue resolution for applications.
• Stay current on new development technologies.
• Handle confidential information per policy.
• Perform other duties or special projects.
