Job summary

Velera Solutions, LLC is seeking a Systems Analyst I to help businesses optimize IT systems and applications, assess existing solutions, and design, develop and implement new technical solutions in collaboration with internal and external service providers.

The role involves analyzing functionality and productivity, handling technical support tickets, creating and maintaining documentation, and pursuing development opportunities within a remote-first, flexible environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Information Management or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• 1-3 years of experience supporting users through technical support of the applications, developing procedures and reporting tools, facilitating and coordinating training and other technical support.
• Three (3) years of experience in financial services strongly preferred.
• Experience establishing SLAs and availability goals to meet business requirements and budget constraints preferred.
• Ability to read SQL queries is very helpful.
• Experience working with regulatory, privacy, security, and associated laws, rules, and regulations, including all applicable standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses existing IT solutions, analyze their functionality, efficiency and productivity, and then help organizations design, develop and implement new technical solutions.
• Handles technical support tickets and help the users to solve their problems and identify solutions to implement.
• Creates and maintains system documentation.
• Proactively pursues development opportunities and show expected progress on learning plan.
• Creates an environment that promotes end-user self-sufficiency.
• Since input data generally comes from diverse sources, is responsible for recognizing probable conflicts and integrating diverse data elements and sources
• Produces innovative solutions for a variety of complex problems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
