Job summary

Velera is seeking a Systems Analyst I to optimize IT systems and applications, assess existing solutions, and design new technical approaches. You will work across the Enterprise to ensure IT services are delivered as agreed with internal and external customers.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teams, development opportunities, and a remote-first, flexible environment designed to drive secure, innovative solutions for clients and communities Velera serves.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Information Management or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience supporting users with technical support.
  • Three (3) years of experience in financial services strongly preferred.
  • Experience establishing SLAs and availability goals to meet business requirements.
  • Ability to read SQL queries is very helpful.
  • Experience with regulatory, privacy, security laws and standards preferred.

The Opportunity

The Systems Analyst I will help businesses increase their output and enhance their profitability by improving their IT systems and applications. They should be able to assess existing IT solutions, analyze their functionality, efficiency and productivity, and then help organizations design, develop and implement new technical solutions. This role partners closely with teams across the Enterprise to ensure that the IT services are provided as agreed between the Service Provider(s) both internal and external and the Customer.

Day in the Life
  • Assesses existing IT solutions, analyze their functionality, efficiency and productivity, and then help organizations design, develop and implement new technical solutions.
  • Handles technical support tickets and help the users to solve their problems and identify solutions to implement.
  • Creates and maintains system documentation.
  • Proactively pursues development opportunities and show expected progress on learning plan.
  • Creates an environment that promotes end-user self-sufficiency.
  • Since input data generally comes from diverse sources, is responsible for recognizing probable conflicts and integrating diverse data elements and sources
  • Produces innovative solutions for a variety of complex problems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Information Management or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 1-3 years of experience supporting users through technical support of the applications, developing procedures and reporting tools, facilitating and coordinating training and other technical support.
  • Three (3) years of experience in financial services strongly preferred.
  • Experience establishing SLAs and availability goals to meet business requirements and budget constraints preferred.
  • Ability to read SQL queries is very helpful
  • Experience working with regulatory, privacy, security, and associated laws, rules, and regulations, including all applicable standards preferred.

Pay Equity

$54,000.00 - $68,800.00 - $83,600.00 of salary range
The anticipated hiring range for this position is typically between the minimum and midpoint of the posted salary range; however, actual compensation may vary based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, skills and qualifications, education, internal equity, and overall business and budget considerations.
