Job summary

  • Support disaster recovery planning and DR testing.
  • Manage DNS, DHCP, and certificate services.
  • Coordinate patch compliance and vulnerability remediation.
  • Maintain system documentation and runbooks.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Systems Analyst is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and security of server infrastructure at the facility level. This role manages physical and virtual server environments, directory services, storage systems, and backup operations to ensure reliable, secure, and compliant IT operations in support of clinical and business functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Server Administration
  • Administer Windows Server environments including provisioning, configuration, OS patching, and lifecycle management.
  • Support virtualization platforms in coordination with enterprise infrastructure teams.
  • Manage physical server hardware including rack‑mounted equipment, firmware updates, and data center operations.
  • Monitor server health and performance; respond to alerts and elevate critical issues to the appropriate ITS Leader or enterprise team.
  • Storage & Backup
  • Administer facility‑level SAN/NAS storage systems including provisioning and capacity monitoring.
  • Manage backup platform operations including job scheduling, monitoring, restore verification, and retention compliance.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, replication monitoring, and DR testing exercises.
  • Directory & Identity Services
  • Administer Active Directory including organizational units, group policy objects, group management, and account provisioning coordination.
  • Manage DNS, DHCP, and certificate services within the facility environment.
  • Security & Compliance
  • Coordinate patch compliance and vulnerability remediation in alignment with enterprise security standards.
  • Maintain server configurations per hardening standards; document changes in accordance with change management policy.
  • Support audit and compliance activities related to server infrastructure.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and HITECH, in the handling of protected health information and technology systems supporting patient care.
  • Infrastructure & Project Support
  • Support server infrastructure requirements for application deployments, technology refreshes, and facility projects.
  • Coordinate with network, application support, clinical informatics, and enterprise teams on cross‑functional infrastructure work.
  • Manage vendor relationships and escalations for server‑side issues.
  • Maintain system documentation, configuration records, and operational runbooks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

EDUCATION:
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
  • 2-4 years of experience in server administration or IT infrastructure required.
  • Proficiency with Windows Server administration and Active Directory required.
  • Experience with enterprise storage, backup platforms, or virtualization infrastructure preferred.
  • Healthcare IT experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and core directory services including DNS and DHCP.
  • Familiarity with enterprise storage platforms, backup software, and disaster recovery concepts.
  • Understanding of server security principles including patch management, hardening standards, and change management processes.
  • Ability to monitor system health, interpret performance data, and respond effectively to infrastructure incidents.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent responsibilities, maintain accurate documentation, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to coordinate with vendors, enterprise teams, and ITS colleagues to drive issues to resolution.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:
  • Microsoft server or cloud administration certifications preferred. CompTIA Server+ or equivalent a plus.
