Job summary

Leggett & Platt Hydraulics is seeking an Operations Business Systems Analyst in Beulaville, NC. You will maintain MES-based work instructions, coordinate changes, and ensure alignment with production processes.

You’ll review weld designs, manage MES data, and update tooling to support digitalized, data-driven operations. The role requires a degree in engineering/IS/CS, MES experience, and independent problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, or related field.
• Experience supporting MES in a production environment.
• Experience maintaining work instructions and manufacturing documentation in digital systems.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and drive solutions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update digital work instructions within the MES system.
• Coordinate work instruction changes through required approval processes.
• Ensure work instructions reflect current production processes and engineering documentation.
• Conduct weld design reviews: joint design, heat input control, material compatibility, distortion mitigation.
• Maintain MES parameter tables and configuration data used by production systems.
• Update Excel-based parameter tables when new parts or configurations are introduced.
• Ensure system configuration data remains accurate and consistent.
• Provide coaching and skill development to welders and welding operators.
• Support welder qualification testing per AWS guidelines.
• Deliver technical training on weld techniques, inspection, safety, and process control.
• Support operational systems, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement through digitalization and data-driven solutions.
• Maintain plant data visibility for production teams.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
• Experience supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) in a production environment.
• Experience maintaining work instructions and manufacturing documentation in digital systems.
• Self motivated with the ability to work independently, identify system improvement opportunities, and drive solutions with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Visual Factory or similar MES platforms in manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
• Experience troubleshooting Crystal Reports.
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages for automation or development of internal manufacturing tools.
• Interest in manufacturing automation and digitalization initiatives.
