Job summary

Coda Search is partnering with an established software company in the insurance and benefits technology space to fill a System Admin role in the Atlanta metro area. This hybrid position requires onsite presence Tue–Thu in Northwest Atlanta.

You will own Azure administration, IAM, endpoint management, and IT operations, with exposure to HIPAA, SOC 2, and HITRUST compliance. The team emphasizes cloud infrastructure leadership and hands-on operation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in systems administration or systems engineering, focused on Microsoft/Windows environments.
• Hands-on Azure experience in administration or infrastructure.
• Strong networking fundamentals: VNETs, DNS, firewalls.
• Generalist mindset with broad scope responsibility.
• Self-directed, motivated, and able to work in a small team.

Responsibilities

What will your day look like?

• Azure administration: Manage and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and resource optimization.
• Identity and access management: Administer Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and conditional access policies across the organization.
• Endpoint management: Deploy and manage devices through Intune for Windows and Mac environments.
• Networking support: Maintain and troubleshoot VNETs, DNS, firewall rules, and connectivity across cloud and on-premises resources.
• IT operations: Own onboarding/offboarding workflows, procurement coordination, and support escalation for a team of fewer than 200 people.
• Compliance documentation: Support the company's HIPAA, SOC 2, and HITRUST compliance posture through documentation, access reviews, and control implementation.
• Scripting and automation: Write PowerShell scripts and contribute to infrastructure-as-code efforts using Bicep or ARM templates.
• Generalist coverage: Serve as a primary point of contact for internal IT needs, balancing cloud operations with hands-on systems administration.

Who are you?

• Systems background: You have roughly 3+ years of experience in systems administration or systems engineering, primarily in Microsoft and Windows environments.
• Azure exposure: You have hands-on Azure experience at some level (administration, networking, or infrastructure) and are comfortable deepening those skills on the job.
• Networking fundamentals: You understand VNETs, DNS, and firewall basics and can troubleshoot connectivity issues without needing a dedicated network team.
• Generalist mindset: You operate well across multiple disciplines and are comfortable owning a broad scope rather than a narrow specialty.
• Self-directed: You are curious, motivated, and able to work independently in a small team without large-company layers of support.
