Job summary
Nyla Technology Solutions is seeking a seasoned IT systems administrator to maintain uptime and performance for critical government IT systems in Maryland. The role requires hands-on management of Windows and UNIX/Linux environments, proactive monitoring, and rapid incident response in a fast-paced environment.
The position requires an active TS/SCI polygraph clearance and a strong background in system hardening, virtualization, and enterprise storage.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI polygraph clearance required.
- Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/SE or related technical discipline with 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience OR HS diploma with 15+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
Responsibilities
- Maintain uptime and reliability of IT systems across Windows and UNIX/Linux environments.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and implement OS enhancements for performance.
- Monitor client, server, storage, and network devices and resolve escalations.
- Provide Tier 1/2 support and drive incident resolution in a mission-critical environment.
