University of Arizona is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to design, build, and maintain high-performance computing environments supporting research. The role focuses on Linux-based production systems, data-center hardware, and scalable infrastructure to meet evolving institutional needs on campus.
Responsibilities include administering servers, enforcing security, automating tasks, and collaborating with vendors to deliver end-to-end IT projects.

UITS invites you to apply for the role of Systems Administrator, Senior (Systems Administrator III). This position is responsible for designing, building, delivering, and maintaining technology solutions that enhance operations supporting research, with a focus on high-performance computing. In addition, this role involves managing compute clusters for research along with their support services and infrastructure. As part of this work, applicants should have experience running Linux operating systems in a production environment, provisioning and maintaining server-class hardware in a data center.
This position requires the ability to work on the Tucson campus as needed and may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement, subject to supervisor approval and department needs.
This position requires that the incumbent be a U.S. citizen to comply with federal contractual requirements. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
