Job summary

Donnelly- is seeking a Systems Administrator to support, maintain, and optimize enterprise physical security and surveillance infrastructure. You will administer Pro-Watch access control, Genetec Security Center, ChangeGear SQL databases, and IP camera systems, while ensuring reliability, security, and availability of critical systems.

You will troubleshoot complex issues across servers, databases, and networks, coordinate upgrades, and contribute to disaster recovery planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of IT experience supporting enterprise server environments and critical infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting physical security systems, access control platforms, video management systems, surveillance infrastructure, or related OT preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with a strong customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Pro-Watch access control servers, applications, and associated hardware.
  • Support and manage Genetec Security Center, video management systems, and camera integrations.
  • Maintain and optimize ChangeGear SQL databases, including performance, availability, backup, and recovery.
  • Serve as SME for enterprise IP camera systems, video recording platforms, storage systems, and surveillance infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving access control, surveillance systems, servers, databases, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Coordinate hardware and software upgrades for physical security systems and related infrastructure.
  • Monitor system health, performance, capacity, and availability across physical security platforms and server environments.
  • Perform system patching, firmware upgrades, security updates, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity procedures for critical physical security systems.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, operating procedures, and support guides.
  • Provide on-call and emergency support for critical physical security and surveillance systems.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Networking, Facilities, and Operations teams to ensure secure, reliable operation.

Systems Administrator – Physical Security & Infrastructure

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Systems Administrator to support, maintain, and optimize the Company’s enterprise physical security and surveillance infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for administering and supporting Pro-Watch Access Control Systems, Genetec Security Center, ChangeGear SQL databases, enterprise IP camera and video surveillance systems, as well as the underlying Windows Server and IT infrastructure. This role will troubleshoot complex system, application, database, and infrastructure issues while ensuring the reliability, security, performance, and availability of critical physical security systems.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain Pro-Watch access control servers, applications, and associated hardware.

  • Support and manage Genetec Security Center, video management systems, and camera integrations.

  • Maintain and optimize ChangeGear SQL databases, including performance, availability, backup, and recovery.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for enterprise IP camera systems, video recording platforms, storage systems, and surveillance infrastructure.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving access control, surveillance systems, servers, databases, and supporting infrastructure.

  • Coordinate hardware and software upgrades for physical security systems and related infrastructure.

  • Monitor system health, performance, capacity, and availability across physical security platforms and server environments.

  • Perform system patching, firmware upgrades, security updates, and vulnerability remediation.

  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity procedures for critical physical security systems.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, operating procedures, and support guides.

Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts, including:

Knowledge of security principles, including:

  • Access Control Lists (ACLs)

  • Encryption

  • Authentication and authorization

  • System hardening

  • Vulnerability remediation

Monitoring & Automation
  • System health and infrastructure monitoring

  • Performance analysis and troubleshooting

  • Capacity planning and optimization

  • Scripting and automation; PowerShell preferred

  • Technical reporting and documentation

  • Strong customer-service mindset with experience supporting users and business stakeholders.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to make sound technical and business decisions.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across technical and business teams.

Additional Requirements
  • Ability to lift and transport server, network, and security-system equipment when required.

  • Ability to provide after-hours and on-call support for critical systems.

  • Willingness to work overtime and flexible hours for scheduled maintenance and emergency response.

  • Ability to travel to Company locations as needed.

  • Valid driver’s license required.

  • Ability to successfully pass a NERC CIP Personnel Risk Assessment Background Check.

Work Location

Fully onsite, five days per week.
