Job summary

Byrne Dairy Corporate Office in Lafayette, NY is seeking a Systems Administrator to maintain and optimize our Windows-based infrastructure. You will manage Windows Servers, VMware, Microsoft 365, AD/Entra ID, and endpoint security, lead projects, and provide on-site support across Central New York facilities.

This role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and strong documentation practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on professional experience in a Systems Administrator role.
• Strong experience administering and troubleshooting Windows Server, VMware, Windows 11 endpoints.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft 365, endpoint management, backups, storage hardware.
• Experience supporting multi-site environments and maintaining documentation.
• Certifications (Microsoft, VMware, CompTIA) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server and Windows 11 systems.
• Monitor systems using management platforms and deploy patches.
• Manage Microsoft 365, AD/Entra ID, Group Policy, and access control.
• Oversee endpoint security tools and incident response.
• Manage backups and DR planning; support production-floor systems.
• Support VMware environment including hosts, VMs, clusters, and templates.
• Lead infrastructure projects from planning to completion.
• Maintain documentation and recovery information.
• Provide on-site support across company locations; travel as needed.
