Job summary

Binghamton University is seeking an Enterprise Systems Administrator to join the Information Technology Services Department. You will install, configure, and maintain servers primarily in a Windows environment, with responsibilities including O365/Azure administration, fileserver management, and SQL database administration.

The successful candidate will work on a collaborative team, develop workflows for ticket management, and maintain documentation of system architectures and changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IS/related field.
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux systems management, Bash and/or PowerShell scripting.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in large, complex organizations; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers in Windows environments.
• Provide O365/Azure cloud administration and fileserver management.
• Handle SQL database administration and general systems maintenance.
• Monitor performance and resolve tickets; support end users.
• Develop processes and workflows; maintain system architecture docs and change logs.
