Job summary

Constellation Technologies, Inc. is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to support diverse government IT environments in the United States.

The role involves maintaining server infrastructure, troubleshooting, problem resolution, and coordinating with management on status updates. The candidate should possess TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and have a strong background in Linux, UNIX, and Windows systems, with hands-on experience in network devices and Cisco equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is required.
• Two (02) years within the last five (05) years must be directly related to the job.
• US citizenship and TS/SCI clearance with polygraph are required.
• Must be US Citizen.
• This position requires the candidate to have TS/SCI clearance with active polygraph.
• Experience with Linux/UNIX/Windows server environments and network devices.
• Experience configuring and managing OS images and services for reliability.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
• Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes.
• Provide Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier II (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Escalate and communicate status to agency management and internal customers.
• Support day-to-day operations of client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems and install software.
• Support installation and maintenance of Cisco routers and switches for enterprise systems.

Requirements

• Due to federal contract requirements, United States citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph are required for the position.
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph
• This position is open to multiple levels of years of experience; two (02) years within the last five (05) years must be directly related to the job you are applying for:
• Level 03 requires a minimum fifteen (15) years of direct/relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Five (05) years of additional Systems Administration experience on projects with similar processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
• Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
• Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Provides Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
• Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problem and remains involved in the resolution process.
• Configures and manages UN1X and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Support installation and maintenance of Cisco routers and switches in support of enterprise systems for the program

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

AWS, Linux $175,000 - $200,000 a year. The pay range for this job, with multi-levels, is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
