Job summary

Agile Defense is seeking an Intermediate System Administrator for an on-site role in Huntsville, AL. You will support DoD-grade systems, install and maintain Windows and Linux servers, and manage VMware, AD, DNS, and DHCP.

The position requires RMF/NIST alignment, STIG application, and a strong scripting background for automation. Candidates should have 5+ years in systems administration, a STEM degree or equivalent experience, and IAT II baseline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of relevant systems administration experience.
• DoD environment experience and an active security posture are preferred.
• IAT Level II Baseline certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering, administration, and cybersecurity support for multi-platform DoD environment.
• Install, configure, and maintain servers (Windows/Linux) and infrastructure enclaves.
• Maintain VMware ESXi, vCenter, AD, DNS, DHCP; ensure 24x7 availability.
• Apply RMF, DISA STIGs, and NIST SP 800-53 controls; document security plans.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell/Bash/Ansible) for tasks and patching.
• Support incident resolution and create system architecture diagrams.
