Job summary

Agile Defense is seeking an Intermediate Systems Administrator for an on-site role in Huntsville, AL, supporting a DoD contract. You will provision, configure, and secure multi-platform environments, including Windows and Linux, while maintaining RMF/NIST compliance and automated tasks.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of systems administration experience, hands-on VMware, AD/GPOs, and vulnerability management expertise in a federal security context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related STEM field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Systems Administration & Maintenance: install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers and enterprise workstations.
• Virtualization: manage VMware ESXi, vCenter Server, and related virtual infrastructure for high uptime.
• Cybersecurity Compliance & Hardening: apply RMF/NIST SP 800-53; implement STIGs to ensure compliance.
• Automation & Network Support: develop admin scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Ansible) for tasks and patching.
• User Support & Collaboration: support ticketing (ServiceNow); document SOPs and diagrams.
