Job summary

TransCore Houston is seeking a Systems Administrator II to join our team. The role focuses on administering server, workstation, network, and application infrastructure, ensuring security and uptime.

The ideal candidate will have 6–9 years of SysAdmin experience, strong knowledge of Hyper-V, Windows Server, and security tooling, and will work with cross-functional teams to support mission-critical tolling applications.

Qualifications

• Minimum associate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 6–9 years of Systems Administrator experience.
• Experience with failover clusters and Hyper-V.
• Networking knowledge including LAN/WAN and Cisco products.
• Experience with Windows Server administration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vulnerability remediation with system, network, and application admins.
• Manage security controls, configurations, and patching.
• Administer user accounts, MFA, and access controls.
• Assist with disaster recovery, backups, and cyber resilience.
• Provide system monitoring and reporting for LAN/WAN.
