Job summary

Alpha Omega integrates complex IT systems in San Antonio, TX. The Systems Administrator II will maintain enterprise servers, manage AD users, and support both on‑premises and MED365 Cloud environments in a fast‑paced security‑driven setting.

This role requires active Secret clearance, experience with patching, GPOs, Azure AD, and incident documentation. Onsite work in San Antonio, with a comprehensive benefits package and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in IT/CS or related field (ABET/CAE preferred).
  • 2+ years of relevant experience and active Secret clearance.
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+/Network+, MS 365 Fundamentals or Azure Fundamentals.

Job description

Job Title: Systems Administrator II
Clearance Required: Secret
Work Location: Onsite, San Antonio, TX

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and troubleshoot enterprise‑level products and services, including hardware (servers) firmware, and software for both on‑premise and MED365 Cloud/Tenant environments.
  • Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve issues involving server patches and configurations, software issues, and scheduled maintenance events. Utilize Information Assurance tools to validate proper installation and function of deployed security patches and solutions.
  • Modify, create, and configure Active Directory (AD) user accounts; recover and restore AD objects. Support mobile computing and end‑user devices, including resetting and configuring devices. Identify and troubleshoot EM issues related to patches and servers. Troubleshoot and resolve DAR issues. Manage cloud/tenant environments with a focus on ensuring secure access and resource allocation, and perform Azure account management tasks, including creating and configuring Azure AD users, managing access permissions, and monitoring cloud resource usage and performance.
  • Provide Site Administrator support and enterprise monitoring for Group Policy Objects (GPO), initial troubleshooting of GPOs, adding security groups to group policies.
  • Perform system‑administration tasks on enterprise servers, extend scheduled lockout conditions, initiate data‑recovery operations, and unlock machines as required. Install, administer, and perform password management for enterprise software.
  • Remotely access government equipment. If unable to resolve an issue, escalate to Enterprise Operations (Tier 3). Provide the de‑escalation path back to the MTF or lower tier.
  • Monitor on‑premise enterprise assets via SCOM, Quest Suite of Tools, and other related applications. Ensure core services are maintained at normal production levels with no unplanned service interruptions. Create and distribute Unscheduled Downtime Report (UDR), SITREPs, After Action Reports (AAR), Information Papers and EXSUM documents for critical service outages and/or unplanned interruptions. Document and update incidents (via Ticketing System) with information relevant to the incident and/or outage for both on‑premise and MED365 Cloud/Tenant environments.
  • Perform system‑administrator duties within the DHA’s MED365 eDiscovery in supporting data collection, preservation, processing, review, and production for litigation, investigations, and audits.
  • Perform system‑administrator duties within the DHA’s MED365 eDiscovery in supporting the purging or preservation of data related to spillage, leakage, phishing, or investigations.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution.
  • Experience/Skills: 2+ years of relevant experience; Active Secret (or above) clearance.
  • Certification(s): CompTIA A+ or Network+; Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $70,000 - $109,969. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Multiple factors are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies, education, and contract provisions regarding labor categories that may affect pay.
