Leidos is hiring a Systems Administrator II to support the NASA Shared Service Center. This role involves supporting IT systems, including troubleshooting and maintenance. Responsibilities include managing IT infrastructure and processes related to these systems. The SA II will:

Provide support for IT systems, including daily operations, monitoring, and issue resolution for client/server/storage/network devices. Communicate status updates to management and customers. Configure and manage Virtual Environments, Linux, and Windows operating systems, and perform system troubleshooting and maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage hardware, operating systems, and virtual machines within a LAN environment.
• Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage, and network devices for high availability and performance.
• Perform Tier I/II troubleshooting for hardware, OS, and applications, escalating issues as needed.
• Create network and infrastructure diagrams using Visio.
• Monitor backups and perform restores as needed.
• Implement security configurations to comply with NASA cybersecurity policies.
• Support application updates and configurations in development and testing environments.

Basic Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Associate degree in an IT-related field or four years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Windows, Linux, and server applications like IIS and Apache.
• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• B.S. in a computer-related field or equivalent experience.
• Four years of IT experience.
• Willingness to relocate within 50 miles of NASA center.
• Experience with Virtual Infrastructure and storage systems.

Pay range: $25.00/hr. - $29.00/hr.
