Job summary

Canyon County is seeking a Systems Administrator to monitor, deploy, and maintain the County/Sheriff’s Office infrastructure. You will manage servers, storage, backups, and virtual environments while enforcing security practices and county policies.

The role requires strong experience with Windows Server platforms, Active Directory, Exchange, M365, and virtualization. You must be team‑oriented, able to work after hours for maintenance, and pass a background check with polygraph.

Qualifications

• Two years infrastructure systems administration experience.
• MCSE, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, CompTIA Server+ or equivalent training is a plus.
• Background investigation including polygraph examination is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, test, and deploy new infrastructure systems.
• Perform installations, updates, and routine maintenance of infrastructure systems.
• Administrate a domain environment managing users, computers, DNS, DHCP, policy, and certificates.
• Administrate an email environment managing users, mailboxes, spam, and databases.
• Administrate an online tenant managing identities, clients, software, governance, risk, and compliance.
