Vertech seeks a Systems Administrator I to join its growing IT team in Phoenix. You will work closely with senior staff to build, maintain, and secure internal infrastructure and client systems, across Windows Server, AD, virtualization, and cloud services.

The role includes on-site operations, travel to job sites, and a focus on security, backups, and patch management. Ideal candidates bring 1–3 years of experience and a proactive, collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of systems administration or related IT role.
• Solid understanding of Windows Server builds and management.
• Hands-on experience with AD, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with server virtualization (Hyper-V and/or VMware).
• Familiarity with Office 365 administration including Teams.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery management and server security.

Responsabilités

• Build, configure, and manage Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).
• Administer Active Directory: user accounts, GPOs, DNS, DHCP.
• Manage server virtualization: Hyper-V and VMware, provisioning, snapshots, capacity planning.
• Architect and implement server hardware configurations for internal and client environments.
• Support and manage Office 365 services including Teams.
• Manage and support Azure and other cloud resources.
• Perform backup and disaster recovery operations for internal systems.
• Handle patch management across all system devices using WSUS.
• Implement and maintain server security and hardening per standards.
• Manage user accounts, MFA, and access controls.
• Maintain asset management for IT infrastructure including device replacement scheduling.
• Create and maintain configuration documentation for computer systems.
• Provide internal helpdesk support and assist with client projects.
• Assist with system audits and vulnerability assessments at customer facilities.
