Job summary

The City of Clemson is seeking a skilled IT Systems Administrator to support Windows servers, AD, and the Google Workspace Enterprise environment. You will plan, deploy, and maintain operating systems, devices, and related infrastructure, ensuring secure access and reliable daily operations.

Responsibilities include provisioning, monitoring, backups, and user support across desktop and server platforms, with occasional after-hours work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, CS, or Engineering with four years' systems/networks admin experience.
• Three years’ desktop support in a Microsoft environment required or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of AD, Google Workspace, and network protocols.

Responsibilities

• Administers and supports City IT systems, applications, and platforms.
• Performs system provisioning, installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Manages Active Directory and Google Workspace accounts and security groups.
• Monitors backups, performs restores, and ensures data integrity.
• Responds to technical issues via multiple channels and escalates when needed.
