Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team supporting the Department of State’s Consular Affairs Enterprise Infrastructure Operations (CAEIO) program. The SA provides IT Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support for hardware, software, and platforms powering consular applications worldwide.

Core Work Schedule: First shift, approximately 7:00am – 4:00pm, Monday-Friday, with rotational weekend coverage for maintenance and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree or higher with relevant experience required.
U.S. citizenship and active Secret clearance required.
Experience as a systems administrator in a Windows-based environment.
Experience supporting Windows-based enterprise environments including desktop/server systems.
Experience performing systems administration functions: configuration, troubleshooting, patching, maintenance.
Experience administering Active Directory including user accounts, groups, and access management.
Experience supporting enterprise hardware and end-user computing environments.
Experience using ITSM/ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Remedy.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain desktop, server, and peripheral systems to ensure reliability and performance.
Manage deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of hardware, software, and databases including AD, SCCM, vSphere, and SQL environments.
Perform data backups, restores, and ongoing IT infrastructure management to ensure data integrity and availability.
Coordinate hardware/software upgrades, replacements, and decommissioning with minimal disruption.
Administer Active Directory accounts, privileges, and badge logon configurations per security policies.
Monitor vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with Microsoft Defender and DoS cybersecurity standards.
Document configurations, changes, and performance trends with accurate topology documentation.
Log, track, and resolve incidents using ServiceNow, collaborating with Government System Administrators and ISSOs.
Manage inventory of peripherals and support devices, including asset transfers and replenishment.
