Deerfield Academy is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to manage on‑premises and cloud infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable technology services for the institution. You will automate operations, handle identity management, and support Microsoft 365 while collaborating with IT staff on security and uptime.

The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, 5–7 years of enterprise systems experience, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a mission-driven setting.

Qualifications

• This position requires 5–7 years of enterprise systems experience.
• Experience in educational, nonprofit, or mission-driven settings is preferred.
• Industry certifications such as Microsoft, VMware, or CISSP are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer on‑premises and cloud server infrastructure (Windows/Linux).
• Lead vulnerability and patch management programs for servers and services.
• Develop automation solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Manage identity and access using Hybrid AD, Entra ID, SSO, and MFA.
• Configure Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Collaborate on DNS, DHCP, certificates, and authentication systems.
• Monitor performance, capacity, and security with centralized tools.
• Support incident response, eDiscovery, and disaster recovery activities.
