Job summary

SageCor Solutions LLC. is seeking a DevOps/System Administrator to support Linux/Windows back-end environments and VMs across multiple contracts in the Maryland/DC area.

The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph and involves collaboration with large teams, Jira ticketing, and cross-team communications for mission-critical operations.

Qualifications

• Linux administration required; experience with Linux systems security/compliance.
• Storage management experience (CFS/DFS, NetApp).
• Virtualization experience (Proxmox, RH KVM, VMware).
• IP networking and firewall experience.
• Some experience with containers and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Work on large mixed teams and coordinate tasks.
• Maintain backend environments: Linux/Windows boxes and VMs.
• Review monitoring, emails, and team chats; triage issues and start work on Jira tickets.
• Ensure authentication, DNS, shared drives, and home directory access across systems.
• Communicate effectively with SA, SE, NE teams and customer tasking across multiple contracts.

Serving Maryland and the Greater Washington D.C. area, SageCor Solutions (SageCor) is a growing company bringing complete engineering services and true full lifecycle System Engineering services to areas requiring (or desiring) nationally-recognized expertise in high performance computing, large data analytics and cutting edge information technologies.

Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• You will work on large mixed teams
• Supported systems are Linux and Windows hard boxes and VM’s.
• You will come in look at your monitoring, catch up on emails and your team Skype chat room for mission critical updates and hot issues then go to JIRA and start working off tickets.
• The team supports 3 (diff classifications) of backend environment with Mission and Operations users and desktops so authentication, DNS, share drives and home directories and communications between all of it.
• As this team is large and does a lot of Dev Ops work as well as live systems sustainment you will need to communicate well with lots of other SA’s, SE’s and NE’s spanning multiple contracts and with direct customer tasking and leadership.

Required Skills:
