Job summary

SageCor Solutions LLC serves Maryland and the Greater Washington D.C. area with engineering services and full lifecycle system engineering for high performance computing and data analytics.

Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required. The role seeks senior Linux system engineers with 10+ years of experience and a BS, or 15+ years with IAT II, plus deep HPC, storage fabrics, and a suite of tools including Jira, Confluence, Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, Slurm, Git, Salt, and Ansible.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with a BS degree or 15+ years with IAT II.
• Strictly Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky/SLES/Ubuntu).
• Experience with HPC and high-speed networks (InfiniBand, Slingshot).
• Familiarity with storage fabrics and Lustre/Exascaler concepts.
• Experience with the listed DevOps tools: Jira, Confluence, Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, Slurm, Git, Salt, Ansible.

Serving Maryland and the Greater Washington D.C. area, SageCor Solutions (SageCor) is a growing company bringing complete engineering services and true full lifecycle System Engineering services to areas requiring (or desiring) nationally-recognized expertise in high performance computing, large data analytics and cutting edge information technologies.

Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph required.

Required Experience:

10 YOE & B.S. or 15 YOE – IAT II

Required Skills:

• Strictly Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Rocky, SLES, Ubuntu [new])
• OS install, file system configuration, TCP/IP networking, configuration, operating system and applicationtroubleshooting, BASH scripting, software compilation and install
• Understanding of HPC architecture, knowledge about high-speed networks such as InfiniBand, Slingshot
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, Slurm, git, Salt, Ansible
• Good troubleshooting skills – each system is slightly different and there's no "one fix" for a particular problem
• Storage Fabric/Networking (focus areas in addition to above):
• Lustre file system configuration and administration, troubleshooting knowledge
• Experience with DDN Exascaler file system appliances
• TCP/IP networking knowledge, specifically storage fabrics
• Routers/switches: Cisco and Juniper - Arista also starting to be incorporated
• Genuine curiosity/proactive effort to learn/grow in what comes next: E1000s, ESNs, DAOS, Weka
• Experience with benchmarking tools (e.g. IOR, iperf, FIO, lnet_selftest)
