Job summary

SageCor Solutions LLC in Maryland seeks a Senior System Engineer to collaborate with customer stakeholders and support a closed system spanning multiple locations. The role requires TS/SCI with Polygraph and seven years of SE experience, plus a relevant bachelor's degree or five additional years of SE substitute experience.

Proficiency in Linux CLI, Linux system administration, scripting (Bash/Python), security compliance, and containerization (Docker/Podman/containerd) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years' experience as a System Engineer in programs of similar scope.
• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• Five (5) years of additional SE experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.

Job description

Serving Maryland and the Greater Washington D.C. area, SageCor Solutions (SageCor) is a growing company bringing complete engineering services and true full lifecycle System Engineering services to areas requiring (or desiring) nationally-recognized expertise in high performance computing, large data analytics and cutting edge information technologies.

Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph required.

Qualifications:

Seven (7) years' experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and
complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science,
Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from
an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be
substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Position Description:

The System Engineer shall collaborate closely with customer stakeholders to support a closed
system that spans multiple locations across Capabilities and Operations.

Position Required Skills:

• - Proficiency using the Linux CLI and Linux Tools
• - Demonstrated experience administering Linux systems
• - Experience developing automation scripts (Bash/Python) to streamline operational and
  maintenance tasks
• - Experience with security compliance requirements and the abilityto ensure systems adhere to established policies
• - Familiar with basic Cisco switch configuration
• - Familiar with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, and containerd
• - Experience with creating, maintaining, and updating clear, accurate, and accessible
  technical documentation

Position Desired Skills:

• - Experience administering Windows systems
• - Experience with NetApp storage devices
• - Experience with virtualization technologies including vSphere/vCenter
• - Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence
