Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to support Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms. You will administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and cloud services, while driving security, patching, and DR practices across multiple locations.

The role emphasizes automation, governance, and a proactive, customer-focused mindset. You will collaborate with help desk, network, and security teams, participate in on-call rotations, and contribute to strategic IT

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related domain services.
• Maintain enterprise virtualization platforms, including VMware vSphere and associated technologies.
• Monitor and optimize server performance, availability, and capacity planning.
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
• Perform system upgrades, patch management, and technology lifecycle management.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Support Microsoft Entra ID administration, identity governance, conditional access, and authentication technologies.
• Participate in cloud adoption and modernization initiatives.
• Manage user provisioning, licensing, security policies, and role-based access controls.
• Administer and support enterprise storage environments, including Pure Storage platforms.
• Monitor storage health, performance, replication, and capacity utilization.
• Develop and execute storage improvement and optimization strategies.
• Maintain system security configurations and assist with cybersecurity initiatives.
• Support vulnerability remediation efforts and security hardening activities.
• Participate in security audits, compliance assessments, and incident response efforts.
• Ensure adherence to established IT governance, policies, and standards.
• Lead or participate in infrastructure projects such as migrations, upgrades, consolidations, and system deployments.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements that increase reliability, security, efficiency, and business value.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
• Document technical procedures, architecture, standards, and support knowledge.
• Serve as a Tier III escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with help desk, network, security, and application teams to resolve incidents and prevent recurring issues.
