Job summary

UN COMN is seeking a Systems Administrator to support cloud infrastructure in hybrid Swansea, IL operations. The role focuses on maintaining secure, compliant environments for both public and private sector work, with a strong emphasis on automation and incident response.

The position requires 2+ years of system administration experience, DoD clearance eligibility, and DCWF/8140 alignment. On-site Wednesdays in Swansea, with flexible on-call responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in system administration, infrastructure operations, or similar within a cloud environment.
• Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance, granted by the U.S. Government, which requires U.S. citizenship.
• Must be comfortable meeting DCWF/8140 requirements, obtaining professional certifications as required by the client/contract, as-needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the administration, maintenance, and day-to-day operations of cloud infrastructure for the GDSS program.
• Assist with provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and incident response.
• Implement automated solutions using Infrastructure as Code to streamline cloud operations.
• Collaborate with development, security, and engineering teams to ensure operational readiness of cloud applications.
• Perform routine patching, updates, and maintenance.

UN COMNis seekingSystems Administratorsto:

• Support the administration, maintenance, and day-to-day operations of (cloud) infrastructure supporting the GDSS program.
• Assist with administering and configuring infrastructure, including resource provisioning and monitoring.
• Monitor cloud environments and assist with troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis.
• Assist with implementing automated solutions, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), to streamline cloud operations.
• Collaborate with development, security, and engineering teams to support the integration and operational readiness of cloud applications.
• Perform routine patching, updates, configuration changes, and other maintenance activities.
• Follow established cloud security, configuration, and operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Maintain documentation of cloud configurations, operational procedures, and incident activity.
• **This is a hybrid position that requires working onsite in Swansea, IL every Wednesday. Additional onsite or on-base work will be required during normal work hours or (rotating) on-call hours to support patching, secure-side issues, incidents, and service disruptions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in system administration, infrastructure operations, or similar within a cloud environment.
• Must be eligible to obtain asecurityclearance, granted by the U.S. Government, which requires U.S. citizenship. The government also uses 13 adjudicative guidelines to determine an individual's eligibility.
• Must be comfortable meetingDoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF)/8140 requirements, obtaining professional certifications as required by the client/contract, as-needed.

Preferred

• Active DoW security clearance.
• Prior experience supporting USTRANSCOM, AMC, Air Force, or other DoW environments.
• Prior experience using or supporting GDSS.
• Active CompTIA Security+ and/or Bachelor's Degree in a STEM-related course of study from an accredited college oruniversity.
• Familiarity with IaC, DevOps, and/or Cloud One.
