Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator in Plano, TX to provide a blend of advanced end-user support and systems administration for a growing financial institution. You will troubleshoot hardware and software, manage Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, and Okta provisioning, and participate in endpoint security and patching efforts.

• Hands-on Microsoft 365 administration experience beyond basic user support.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune device management and policy administration.
• Familiarity with Conditional Access policies, device compliance, and endpoint security controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and 2 support for end users, including workstation and software troubleshooting.
• Support Microsoft 365 administration, including user management, licensing, Teams, Exchange Online, and SharePoint Online.
• Review and assist with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) Conditional Access policies and configuration profiles.
• Administer and support Microsoft Intune for device enrollment, endpoint management, compliance policies, and application deployment.
• Assist with Okta administration, identity management, and user provisioning/deprovisioning.
• Support vulnerability remediation through endpoint patch management (PDQ Connect, Intune).
• Monitor system health and respond to service requests, incidents, and escalations.
• Document procedures, support processes, and technical configurations.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and business teams on tech initiatives.

Description

A growing financial institution is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to provide a combination of advanced end-user support and systems administration. This role will support day-to-day technology operations, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, administer Microsoft 365 and endpoint management platforms, and assist with identity and access management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong desktop support foundation while also possessing hands-on experience with modern workplace technologies and endpoint management tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for end users, including workstation, monitor, keyboard, peripheral, and software troubleshooting.
• Support Microsoft 365 administration, including user management, licensing, Teams, Exchange Online, and SharePoint Online.
• Review and assist with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) Conditional Access policies and configuration profiles.
• Administer and support Microsoft Intune for device enrollment, endpoint management, compliance policies, and application deployment.
• Assist with Okta administration, identity management, and user provisioning/deprovisioning.
• Support vulnerability remediation efforts through endpoint patch management using tools such as PDQ Connect and Microsoft Intune.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on Microsoft 365 administration experience beyond basic user support.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune device management and policy administration.
• Familiarity with Conditional Access policies, device compliance, and endpoint security controls.
• Experience supporting or administering Okta.
• Experience with endpoint patching solutions such as PDQ Connect, Intune, or similar tools.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
