Job summary

Nyla Technology Solutions is seeking an energetic Systems Administrator to keep critical infrastructure operational, secure, and aligned with mission-critical cybersecurity mandates across multi-classification enclaves.

You’ll own daily operations, patching schedules, configuration parity, and access tracking across DEV, TEST, INT, STAGE, and PROD, building enterprise capabilities for the War Data Platform under the DoW CDAO.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and enterprise infrastructure maintenance.
• Proficiency with AWS GovCloud Services, network routing, and firewall configurations.
• Active Directory enclave management, user account/permission administration, and Keycloak integration.
• Experience managing patch management automation tools and DevSecOps pipelines (GitLab).
• Expertise operating, configuring, and monitoring platforms using Splunk and Grafana.
• Experience implementing DR infrastructure and monthly system restore verifications.

Responsibilities

• Own daily operations, patching schedules, configuration parity, and access tracking across DEV, TEST, INT, STAGE, and PROD enclaves.

In this role, you will keep critical infrastructure operational, secure, and fully aligned with mission-critical cybersecurity mandates across multiple security classifications.

As a key member of our team, you will own daily operations, patching schedules, configuration parity, and access tracking across DEV, TEST, INT, STAGE, and PROD enclaves. You will be building "enterprise capabilities" within the Department of War's authoritative data analytics platform (War Data Platform) for the Chief Digital and AI Officer (DoW CDAO). The annual base salary range for this role is $120,000-$170,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.

Required Skills

• Operating Systems & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and enterprise infrastructure maintenance.
• Cloud & Networking: Proficiency with AWS GovCloud Services, network routing, and firewall configurations (ports, protocols, and services).
• Identity & Access Management (ICAM): Active Directory enclave management, user account/permission administration, and Keycloak integration.
• DevSecOps & Automation: Experience managing patch management automation tools and DevSecOps pipelines (GitLab).
• Monitoring & Security Tools: Expertise operating, configuring, and monitoring platforms using Splunk and Grafana.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Experience implementing and operating DR infrastructure, including conducting monthly system restore verifications.

Clearance and Experience

• Clearance: Active Top Secret, SCI Eligible
• Experience: 3-7+ years of progressive professional experience in data engineering, software engineering, or a related technical discipline (Levels I and II).

Education and Work Location

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Work Location: Arlington County, VA (Hybrid)

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with Department of War (DoW) patching timelines and vulnerability remediation requirements.
• Experience enforcing compliance mandates across multi-classification enclaves.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate platform patch cycles.
