Job summary

Nyla Technology Solutions seeks a Senior Solutions Architect to serve as the primary technical authority for mission-critical platform designs in Arlington, VA. You will author GraphRAG docs, define Delta Lake schemas, and lead enterprise-level AgentOps, aligning RMF and Zero Trust Architecture across the War Data Platform.

We’re seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Senior Solutions Architect to serve as a primary technical authority driving high-impact platform designs. In this role, you will author GraphRAG Architectural Design Docs, define Delta Lake graph schema specifications, and design enterprise-level agent governance models. You'll lead multidisciplinary engineering teams to architect high-performance data observability and AgentOps layers, translate complex mission needs and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements into robust patterns, and embed Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) directly into platform designs. You will be building "enterprise capabilities" within the Department of War's authoritative data analytics platform (War Data Platform) for the Chief Digital and AI Officer (DoW CDAO). Key Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams in architecting high-performance, consolidated data observability, cataloging, and AgentOps layers.
• Translate complex operational mission needs and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements into robust, cloud-native architectural patterns.
• Embed Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) patterns directly into platform designs, leveraging row-level security and section access protocols.

The annual base salary range for this role is $180,000-$240,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.

Required Skills

• Architecture & Frameworks: Proven expertise in authoring GraphRAG Architectural Design Docs, Delta Lake graph schema specifications, and enterprise AgentOps frameworks.
• Security & Compliance: Deep understanding of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), Risk Management Framework (RMF), row-level security, and section access protocols.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with cloud-native hosting and patterns (AWS GovCloud).
• Technical Leadership: Track record of guiding multidisciplinary teams in building enterprise observability and cataloging layers

• Clearance: Active Top Secret, SCI Eligible
• Experience: 8-15+ years of progressive professional experience in data engineering, software engineering, or a related technical discipline (Levels IV- V).
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Work Location: Arlington County, VA (Hybrid)

PAY

Nyla starts with 4 weeks of Annual Leave plus 11 holidays and an additional day of Annual Leave for each year you’re at the company. You have the flexibility to cash out your annual leave hours, opt out of other Nyla benefits, and/or arrange for additional hours on contract* (over 40 hrs/week). There’s even an option to earn 1.3 times your hourly rate once you work over 1880 hours on contract!
