Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking an Assistant Program Manager – Central Staffing Office to support staffing operations across 12 BJC hospitals. You will lead a primarily virtual team, oversee staffing and scheduling, and contribute to workforce initiatives and operational success.

This role partners with ICU and hospital leaders to ensure high-quality care. The position requires a BSN, RN license, and 2+ years ICU experience, plus leadership capability.

Qualifications

• Two years ICU/critical care nursing experience.
• Two years of leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with system-wide staffing offices to understand resource needs.
• Assist with standardized staffing and budget planning for clinical operations.
• Forecast staffing needs and supervise a central clinical float pool.
• Oversee onboarding, coaching, and performance management.
• Lead virtual team and support change management initiatives.
