Job summary

Draper in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Group Leader to guide the System Validation, Deployment, and Surveillance team within the Systems Engineering directorate. The role focuses on integrating and testing GN&C technologies across platforms to ensure reliability and mission success.

The candidate will lead a 10–15 engineer team, shape roadmaps, collaborate with customers, and drive strategic R&D initiatives while promoting staff development and performance growth.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of engineering leadership and management experience.
• Experience with GN&C, inertial systems, or related defense domains preferred.
• Proven ability to develop and validate complex systems and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a group of ~10–15 engineers in validation, deployment, and surveillance.
• Convey management direction and performance evaluations to group members.
• Write staffing plans, review resumes, conduct interviews, and hire as needed.
• Serve as Lead Subject Matter Expert for the area of specialty.
• Collaborate to align technology roadmaps with customer priorities.
