Job summary

Draper is an independent nonprofit R&D company in Cambridge, MA. We are seeking a Group Leader for the GN&C System Architecture Group within the Systems Concepts and Design Division.

You will lead ~15–20 engineers, drive system concept development, modeling, and analysis, and promote best practices while aligning with customer priorities in national security. You will mentor staff, drive performance reviews, hire as needed, and work with external communities to advance Draper's capabilities.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in engineering, design, development, and management of complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, build depth in their area of expertise, and conduct performance evaluations of group members.
• Maintain staffing awareness, write job requisitions and review resumes.
• Serve as Lead Subject Matter Expert for the area of specialty and shape Draper's technology offerings.
• Collaborate with management to align capabilities with customer priorities and strategic goals.
• Ensure quality of technical work and successful execution of projects.
