Job summary

PeoplePilot is seeking an experienced Automotive Validation Engineer to develop and execute validation activities for ECU power management and network management functions in our automotive environment. You will focus on validating Sleep/Wakeup behavior, Reset functionality, and power mode transitions across bench, HIL, and vehicle platforms.

• Experience in automotive ECU validation and testing.
• Strong understanding of ECU power management, Sleep/Wakeup, and Reset behavior.
• Hands-on experience with CAN, CAN FD, LIN, and UDS diagnostics.
• Proficiency with Vector CANoe/CANalyzer and automotive testing tools.
• Experience creating test plans, test cases, and validation reports.
• Experience in test automation.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automotive, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Create test plans, test cases, and validation reports for ECU Sleep/Wakeup and Reset features.
• Validate ECU power state transitions, including Run, Sleep, Standby, and Wakeup.
• Test wakeup sources such as CAN, LIN, Ignition, Network Management, and GPIO triggers.
• Validate Power-On Reset, Watchdog Reset, Software Reset, and Brown-Out Reset scenarios.
• Execute testing on ECU benches, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) setups, and vehicle platforms.
• Analyze CAN/LIN traces, debug failures, and perform root cause analysis.
• Track defects and collaborate with software, systems, and integration teams.
• Support test automation and continuous validation activities.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Validation Engineer to develop and execute validation activities for ECU power management and network management functions.

The role focuses on validating ECU Sleep/Wakeup behavior, Reset functionality, and power mode transitions. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with automotive ECU testing, CAN/LIN communication, Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, test automation, and system validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Create test plans, test cases, and validation reports for ECU Sleep/Wakeup and Reset features.


• Validate ECU power state transitions, including Run, Sleep, Standby, and Wakeup.


• Test wakeup sources such as CAN, LIN, Ignition, Network Management, and GPIO triggers.


• Validate Power‑On Reset, Watchdog Reset, Software Reset, and Brown‑Out Reset scenarios.
