Job summary

Katalyst-Healthcares- is seeking an Automotive Validation Engineer in San Francisco to develop and execute ECU power management validation. You will create test plans, validate Sleep/Wakeup, and test various Reset scenarios across ECU benches and vehicle platforms.

The role requires hands-on CAN/LIN/UDS diagnostics, experience with Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, and proficiency in test automation. Bachelor's or Master’s in Electrical/Electronics/Automotive/Computer Engineering is expected.

Qualifications

Experience in automotive ECU validation and testing.
Strong understanding of ECU power modes, Sleep/Wakeup, and Reset behavior.
Hands-on experience with CAN, CAN FD, LIN, and UDS diagnostics.

Responsibilities

Create test plans, test cases, and validation reports for ECU Sleep/Wakeup and Reset features.
Validate ECU power state transitions (Run, Sleep, Standby, Wakeup).
Test wakeup sources including CAN, LIN, Ignition, Network Management, and GPIO triggers.
Validate Reset scenarios such as Power-On Reset, Watchdog Reset, Software Reset, and Brown-Out Reset.
Execute testing on ECU benches, HIL setups, and vehicle platforms.
Analyze CAN/LIN traces, debug failures, and perform root cause analysis.
Track defects and collaborate with software, systems, and integration teams.
Support test automation and continuous validation activities.
