Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a Vehicle Validation Engineer to perform comprehensive vehicle-level testing and validation of automotive systems. You will execute test plans, analyze logs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve defects.

Responsibilities include road and bench testing, data analysis of CAN/CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet, and diagnostics, and documenting results. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in automotive validation and scripting experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive vehicle validation/testing experience.
• Strong understanding of automotive systems and ECU functionality.
• Experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, Vehicle Spy, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of CAN/CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet, and UDS.

• Execute vehicle-level functional, integration, and validation testing.
• Develop and execute test cases based on system and vehicle requirements.
• Validate ECU functionality and vehicle features across operating conditions.
• Perform road, track, and bench testing as required.
• Analyze CAN/CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet, and diagnostic data.
• Troubleshoot vehicle and ECU issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Capture, analyze, and document test results and defects.
• Collaborate with software, systems, controls, and hardware teams to resolve issues.
• Support regression testing after software/calibration releases.
• Validate vehicle features across configurations.
• Support HIL/SIL and vehicle-level correlation activities.
• Create detailed test reports and validation documentation.

We are seeking a Vehicle Validation Engineer to perform vehicle-level testing and validation of automotive systems and features. The engineer will execute test plans, troubleshoot vehicle issues, analyze logs and communication data, and work with engineering teams to identify and resolve defects.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute vehicle-level functional, integration, and validation testing.
• Develop and execute test cases based on system and vehicle requirements.
• Validate ECU functionality and vehicle features across different operating conditions.
• Perform road testing, test-track testing, and laboratory/bench testing as required.
• Analyze CAN/CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet, and diagnostic data.
• Troubleshoot vehicle and ECU issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Capture, analyze, and document test results and defects.
• Work with software, systems, controls, and hardware teams to resolve issues.
• Support regression testing following software and calibration releases.
• Validate vehicle features across multiple vehicle configurations.
• Support HIL/SIL and vehicle-level correlation activities.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of automotive vehicle validation/testing experience.
• Strong understanding of automotive systems and ECU functionality.
• Experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, Vehicle Spy, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of CAN/CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet, and UDS.
• Experience with vehicle data logging and analysis.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Understanding of automotive communication and diagnostics.
• Ability to work with cross-functional engineering teams.

Preferred

• Experience with ADAS, Telematics, Infotainment, Body, Powertrain, or Chassis systems.
• HIL/SIL testing experience.
• Python/CAPL/MATLAB scripting.
• Experience with dSPACE or NI platforms.
• Experience with JIRA, DOORS, Jama, or similar tools.
