Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is hiring a Telematics Validation Engineer in Michigan to validate automotive ECUs and telematics systems. You will design and execute test cases at ECU and system levels, investigate CAN and MQTT communications, and perform HIL testing.

You will use Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer) for simulation and diagnostics, collaborate with developers to resolve defects, and prepare detailed validation reports and defect documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience validating automotive ECUs.
• Strong knowledge of CAN and MQTT protocols.
• Hands-on HIL testing experience.
• Familiarity with telematics systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test cases for ECU-level and system-level validation.
• Validate ECU and system communications, diagnose CAN/MQTT issues.
• Perform HIL testing and develop automation scripts as needed.
• Utilize Vector tools for simulation, analysis, and diagnostics.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and track defects.

Job Title: Telematics Validation Engineer

Job Description:

• Perform validation and testing of automotive ECUs, with a focus on telematics systems.
• Design, develop, and execute test cases for both ECU-level and system-level validation.
• Analyze and debug communication issues using protocols such as CAN and MQTT.
• Conduct HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing and develop automation scripts as required.
• Utilize Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, etc.) for simulation, analysis, and diagnostics.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify, track, and resolve defects.
• Prepare detailed test reports, validation summaries, and defect documentation.
• Support integration and system and sub system level validation activities.
• Required Skills:
• Strong experience in CAN, MQTT, and Vector tools
• Hands-on experience in HIL testing
• Experience in automotive ECU validation
• Preferred:
• Experience with telematics ECU testing
