Position Summary: The System Tester position (K0236093) will need to leverage business analyst skills to understand and review requirements, while collaborating with the systems' business users across agencies to assess business needs resulting in system changes. Sees those changes through successful user acceptance testing and implementation readiness.
Understands system design and applies that information to write test conditions and test scripts/scenarios, reviews the scenarios with business users for accuracy and comprehensiveness, executes them and validates expected results against actual results. Performs research functions including planning, designing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating testing activities in order to ensure accurate results.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: Uses testing software tools and methodologies to test system batches, interfaces, conversion, reports, and overall application functionality for KDHE, DHCF computer systems, especially the two large Medicaid systems: Kansas Eligibility Enforcement System (KEES) and the Kansas Modular Medicaid System (KMMS). Evaluates the test results, research issues and log defects, while participating in defect retesting and triaging as deemed necessary.
If applicant resides out of state; relocation to Kansas prior to start date is a position requirement.
