Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) is led by Secretary Janet Stanek and comprises three divisions: Public Health, Environment, and Health Care Finance (including the State’s Medicaid program, KanCare). The position (K0232617) processes walk‑in requests submitted through kiosks, verifies information and eligibility for certificates, and makes use of judgment and authority to approve or deny requests. The role requires advising applicants, explaining situations, and referring issues to the correct staff. It manages fee collection, customer service, and ensures compliance with the Uniform Vital Statistics Act and state policies.
